PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION
MSM is an excellent source of biochemically available sulphur. It is a naturally occurring sulphur compound which occurs as part of the natural sulphur cycle. The need for sulphur is evident from the fact that it occurs in every cell of the body where it fulfils an essential role in regeneration of tissues, notably connective tissue in the joints. Sulphur is a precursor in the biosynthesis of some important amino acids such as methionine, cysteine and glutathione. As a result of mineral depletion of the soil, there is evidence that the levels of sulphur in the food chain are low, which may explain the widespread occurrence of connective tissue diseases, including rheumatic conditions.
INDICATIONS
As nutritional supplement in rheumatic conditions, skin problems, digestive problems, allergies, undefined aches and pains, stiffness, treatment of scars and burns, other conditions where connective tissue is involved.
